What To Expect

MCS conditioners will take the bonding power out of calcium Click Here for a note about "Iron" (A New Window Will Open), your soaps will be more effective, so you must cut back on dish soap, laundry soap and even shampoo. The average use of soap in your dishwasher is 1 tablespoon only in the pre-wash; do not use your main wash anymore. If your dishes are coated with a white film, you are using too much soap. Continue to cut back until you have it regulated. Try using Glass Magic soap until your dishes are cleaned up. You may have to continue to use Glass Magic in conjunction with the reduced amount of detergent. Try using 1-2 teaspoons of each. You should also use a basket of Jet Dry on your top rack, off to one side. In your laundry soaps, you will only need 1/3 of what it calls for, even with bleach and fabric softeners. If your home is new, cut back on the soap immediately. If your home is older, the effects of the conditioner will take a little longer and you should decrease the amount of soap gradually.

Remember, the MCS system is not a maid, but will make it easier for you to clean. Another important thing to remember is that in an older home, hard water problems may worsen some before they improve. The reason being that the MCS conditioner is actually de-scaling your home, or removing build-up mineral deposits in your pipes and water-heater. The de-scaling process is temporary and usually lasts only two or three weeks. Once the scale is removed, it will not return - this will cut your utility bill down considerably.

If you are having a problem getting your dishes clean, you probably need to drain your water-heater. All you will need to do is hook up a hose and open the valve to drain the water-heater. This may need to be done more than one time, depending on the age of the heater and water usage. If you need assistance, feel free to call us.
